I think this may be a Hodgson's Redstart Phoenicuroides hodgsoni. The white in the wing seems a bit limited for Daurian, +the wrong shape, and the upperparts seem a bit too pale for Daurian. However, they are perhaps a shade dark for Hodgson's!

Interested to know what others think.

I agree with Mike, the white patch on the wings are too small for a Daurian, the colour of it's back is also too grey and there are no feature showing the "two tone" back colour of a Daurian Redstart. So i agree this is a Hodgson's rather than a Daurian.;)

A reference from a photo in www.cnbird.org.com (http://www.cnbird.org.cn/mysite/jpg/2004/2004712211756_0785.jpg).  The upperparts looks even more grey!
