I would just like to mention that while it is great to see all these interesting photographs or bird records on the bulletin boards, the Records Committee would still like people to submit these records 'formally', and in addition to anything placed on the bulletin boards.

The reason for this is that anything posted on the boards is not a permanent record, as posts will not be stored indefinitely. Secondly, the members of the RC and those involved in preparing the Systematic List for the Hong Kong Bird Report do not have the time to check and copy information on birds or records posted on the bulletin board.

So, if you have records of interesting species or records of common species in unusual numbers or localities, please also submit them separately at the end of each year to the Society, preferably in the Excel file that is available on the website.
