Took a quick tour of MPNR this morning. Two BFS are still with us!!! They were at Pond #16/17.

There are a total of eight BFS at #16/17 yesterday, 21 May! ;D

Perhaps they want to make MPNR their home after all ...

Thanks for sharing this image, Angus! I assumed it was taken w/ your EF300/2.8L IS + EF2x II ? Not bad at all ... My only wish was a little less exposure in this case, perhaps -1/2 stop ;)

It was taken on 21-May-03, at pond 16/17 of MPNR.

Thanks for the comments. This was taken with the EF300 + 1.4x at a hide further down which gave me a closer view. I was too lazy to set up the tripod and so took this picture hand held. The image was still too small, so I have cropped it by 30-40% ;D

I dialed in a -1/3 EV. Perhaps I have been a bit too aggressive in adjusting the contrast, so the white feathers appeared a bit overblown :(
