The following is the message from Dr. Cheng of Taiwan. I wonder what is the high count of BFS in Hong Kong this autumn. AFCD may have some recent data.

My dear friends,
According to the latest record, the total population of the Black-faced Spoonbill in Tainan area, TAIWAN has reached the historical high. The number was 939 on the November 21, 2005. It is a wonderful news for the coming Intl. Conference of the Water Birds, which will be held in Tainan, TAIWAN from the 25th to the 27th of november, 2005.
