Excellent photographs, and in terms of plumage, very dark and uniform compared to springs birds. I saw two at Ma Tso Lung yesterday which were very similar, but perhaps even darker. That may be because they were more advanced in moult (with only two old primaries and no old secondaries).

Do you have photos, even poor ones, which show the underparts?
