Based on discrepancies in bird migration times and routes, two famous birdwatchers, Martin Williams from Hong Kong and Nail Moores from Korea, refuted the microbiologists¡¦ view that bird flu was spread by migrating birds. However, a researcher from the University of Hong Kong commented that they were experts in birds rather than in influenza, and influenza experts have evidence to show that migrating birds do take part in spread of the disease.
