The Executive Council yesterday (29/3/2006) endorsed the Governments plan to built a Central Slaughter Facility. The facility will be located near the yet to be opened Lok Ma Chau KCRC station.

I centainly hope that stringent H5N1 security controls are in place as this seems to be near the KCRC ponds. It was at these ponds several years ago where H5N1 was detected in birds
