Public Lecture: Look For Black-faced Spoonbill

Black-faced Spoonbill is a globally endangered bird species in the world. It is a migratory bird endemic to East Asia with a total population around 2,000. In the last wintering, about 18% of the world population of Black-faced Spoonbill overwintered or stopped-over in the Mai Po Inner Deep Bay Ramsar Site, which is the second most in east-Asia.

The recent number of the birds is about 7 times of which in 18 years ago, that is an encouraging figure. In this lecture, speaker will go through the effort as well as result of local and international conservation on the endangered birds.
