Details of the Pui O Outing to be held on 13 Dec 2009 as below:-

Gathering place: 08:00 Exit B, Tung Chung MTR Station
Time: 8:00 - 12:00

Target Species: Wintering forest and farmland birds

Free of Charge for all members.
HK$30 for non-member.

About 30 people came to the Pui O outing in a very fine day.  Many small birds were seen well.
More than 50 species were seen.  I like to thank John and Bob for help.

Strangely, Daurian Redstart seems to have been missed off the list even though I'm sure these were a highlight for most of the group (being so tame and photographable!).

In addition to those listed I saw Crested Goshawk after the trip ended. I didn't see Wood Sandpiper, however.
Overall it was a good day with plenty of birds around.

Hi, I would like to join but unluckily I'm not free that day. Would you mind share the route for bird watching in Pui O ?
I've been there once before and afraid that I missed some place that are good for birds watching.

Attached is the map. My route is marked in red. Have I missed some good place ?

In addition, between the beach and the playground, there are big grass land, can we walk inside?
I see some people walked inside but I am afraid that it is not allowed.
