L: 35-39 cm; WS: 86-99 cm
Resident and winter visitor
Least concern; listed on the Amber List as a Bird of Conservation Concern in Britain and Ireland

Yes, I think we are looking at the same species.   Black-headed gulls are common and widespread across Eurasia, as you can see in the range map attached here.
