Digiscoped amongst lot's of Little Egrets and a few Greats. I thought at first it was just a big "little" egret.  There seems to be some yellow poking throught the mud on the beak and I'm not seeing any breeding plumes. Could it be Intermediate? Neil.

Based on the overall proportions, I agree that this is an Intermediate Egret.
There have been several feeding on the mudflats recently and most seem to have mud all over the beak like this, so the bill colour is not obvious (looking dark like the Little Egrets)
