21st January 2000 was my memorable at Mai Po. There were Dalmation Pelicans, Oriental Stork and a lot of other interesting birds

I was too late to start birdwatching and did not have chance to see these birds. Hope that I can see them in the future. Thanks for sharing.

Great memories, Bob !  The Pelican makes the Curlews look very small...

As I recall the Oriental Stork had been ringed as a juvenile in the Russian far east, another interesting visitor.

Thanks all for the comments, to see the Oriental Stork and the Dalmation Pelicans both on the mudflats at the same time was wonderful.

The video was taken prior to digital cameras, so it was very quiet inside the hide.

The video was shot on a broadcast quality camera and the focal length of the lens was over 4000mm
