Short primary projection, shorter than any Eurasian I have pictures of, and fine bill, why not Oriental? The same or a very similar individual still present at Long Valley this afternoon.

Thanks Martin, is it the same species that I took on 2012-10-20 at LV?

I would think this latter bird is Eurasian Skylark. The tertials are worn, which increases the apparent primary projection, but even allowing for this the primary projection looks too long for Oriental.

This juvenile doesn't look like a pipit to me as there is a crista on it's head, but it stands with body uprightly looking like a pipit。Would it be a species of skylark?
