Do these belong to anybody?... can't see any lettering on numbering on the rings, but I guess someone must be interested... have also seen a Spotted Dove with similar..

These are not part of the usual ringing scheme for wild birds, which would always carry a metal ring with letters/numbers. I guess that these birds may be ex-captive or may have been trapped (possibly illegally) and marked unofficially by someone.

I thought that may be possible... I have seen it on several birds on Lamma.
Previously I had also seen on Lamma, & "broadcast" my feelings about Red Ribbons being attached to the leg of a bird, & on one occasion to the point that the leg of the bird was broken, & left the leg at an awful angle.
My assumption is that the birds are some sort of "offering", & whilst the "rings" seem more humane, can't imagine their capture & handling is humane... will see if I can find out where this is being done.
