Pale Thrush ??

Pale Thrush.

The brownish-white underparts from breast to under-tail are fairly conclusive, but you can also just see the white feathers at the corners of the tail which are distinctive on Pale Thrush when they fly away from you.

I have noticed some birds with yellow mandibles, particularly at the base like this bird, and others with plain greyish bills. I don't know whether this is a feature of first winter birds or adult birds - perhaps someone else can comment?
