Kremer

Where did you find the Chinese barbet? It seems that the HK1st has stayed.

Thanks.

Hi Tai,
It was found at the mid point of Red / Blue walk, between the First and Second picnic site around 9am.

This bird looks a bit like a juvenile to me - the colours on the head are not very bright (compare this: http://www.hkbws.org.hk/BBS/view ... mp;highlight=barbet) and the body feathering looks 'loose', especially around the vent.

Is it possible that the bird from earlier this year not only stayed but found a mate and bred?

Dear Kremer and John

thanks for your information and suggestion.

TPK looks interesting for some visits this autumn.
