Lung Fu Shan is the wooded area behind the University of Hong Kong's maincampus at Pokfulam. The area includes a path which leads to Mount Austin. It is best known as a site for wintering passerines. It is one of the best places for Golden Spectacled Warbler, Short-tailed Bush Warbler, Blyth's Leaf Warbler, Red-tailed Robin and Mugimaki Flycatcher.
Hatton Road, which goes up to and round the Peak is a very good area for thrushes in winter. The site also holds Plumbeous Redstart in winters
To get there it is best to follow the catchment trail behind Robert Black College behind the University of Hong Kong, along a small path beside the catchment. Here there is path lead up to Lung Fu Pavilon and Hatton Road. Along the Hatton Road, there is stairs to Pinewood Battery where is worth searching.
Buses 3B, 23, 40 and 103 fromAdmiralty MTR Station to the University of Hong Kong. Walk up through the campus to Robert Black College, turn right out of University road and look for a flight of stairs descending behind a water pumping station. Hatton Road can be accessed by walking further up the road and taking the steep flight of stairs up from the fire station.
