Shek Kong |

This area is a shadow of its former rural past, but still holds some open country birds which frequent the cultivated fields and small areas of "fung shui" wood. The splendid trees remain, but the woods are used as an uncontrolled rubbish tip and are bordered by severely polluted streams. Nevertheless, the area still attracts thrushes, flycatchers and open country birds.
Kap Lung Forest Trail, which runs down from the summit of Route Twisk to "Shek Kong Catchment" passes through some fine woodland, that in places is being taken over by native trees and consequently is attracting more birds.
