[Shing Mun Birdwatching Tour]
Have you gone birdwatching this winter?
In February, the wintering forest birds in Hong Kong are preparing to leave. If you want to see them, you must seize the opportunity! This tour led by our professional bird guide will go to Shing Mun Reservoir, not to see the Paper-bark Trees, but to see all kinds of flycatchers, thrushes, warblers and other forest birds. See you then!

Time: 7:45 AM to 12:00 PM
Location: Shing Mun
Fee: Members $350, Non-members $450
Quota: 20 people (first come, first served)
Target Audience: Public aged 12 and above (Participants aged 12 to 15 must be accompanied by a parent)Difficulty: 4/5 stars (suitable for those with birdwatching experience)
Route: Shing Mun Country Trail (primarily flat with some slopes and steps; the instructor may adjust the route as needed)
Meeting Point: Shing Mun Country Park Pineapple Dam Refreshment Kiosk
Note: Participants have to bring their own binoculars.
Adverse Weather Arrangements
- If the Hong Kong Observatory issues an amber, red, or black rainstorm signal or a tropical cyclone warning signal no. 3 or above two hours before the event assembly time, the activity will be canceled. If a tropical cyclone warning signal no. 1 and a thunderstorm warning are in effect, the decision to change or cancel the event will be made based on the actual situation.
- If the event is canceled due to adverse weather, HKBWS will contact participants within 3 working days to arrange a refund.
Cancellation Policy
- If a participant withdraws due to illness on the day of the activity, they must submit a medical certificate to the organization to apply for a refund. Otherwise, unless the activity is canceled due to inclement weather, no refunds will be issued for withdrawals under other circumstances.
- HKBWS reserves the final decision-making authority on all arrangements.
- By submitting the activity registration, participants indicate that they have read and agree to comply with the "Birdwatching and Bird Photography Code of Conduct."
