Japanese White-eye (Lamma Island)

Japanese White-eye (Lamma Island)

A very strange phenomenon....... these 2 White-eyes were being shadowed by this Red-whiskered Bulbul. Both times when they came in to bathe, it was "standing guard", and on one occasion the Red-whiskered Bulbul was seen feeding fruit to one of the white-eyes.
Anyone know if Bulbuls have a habit of fostering other species?
