Note: Bird sightings are unpredictable so it is possible that the expected birds may not be observed on the day of the event.
Reminders
- Limited quotas are available on a first-come first-served basis, while the quota lasts.
- The itinerary involves narrow trails and stairs thereby a certain level of physical fitness will be required. Participants should assess their own physical and health conditions to determine if they are suitable for the excursion. Participants are responsible for their own safety during the activity. The society reserves the right to refuse participation based on the actual situation and needs at the time.
- The activity quotas are not transferable. Once it is found, HKBWS reserves the right to cancel the participation of relevant individuals.
- If participants fail to schedule the activity within the designated period, it will be considered an automatic forfeiture of participating in the activity.
- Participants shall arrange for their own transportation to the assembly point. Transportation between the assembly point and the site will be provided by HKBWS.
- Participants are required to arrive at the assembly location on time. Lateness will not be accepted. If it is necessary to change the assembly time and/or location or even cancel the scheduled activity due to unexpected circumstances, HKBWS will notify the participants by telephone as soon as possible.
- The activity will be cancelled if Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.3 or above; or Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal or above is in force within 3 hours before the activity is scheduled to begin.
- HKBWS will decide to continue or suspend the activity depending on the weather or the actual situation of the activity venue.
- HKBWS reserves the right to cancel any pre-arranged activity by giving an advance notice.
- HKBWS will purchase group accident insurance for all eligible participants. The right of activity of participants will be cancelled if they provide incomplete or inaccurate information.
- HKBWS will take photos and videos for participants during the activity and may use the photos and videos for the purpose of promotion and publicity. If participants do not agree with this arrangement, please inform HKBWS on the day of activity and sign the form of "Notice of Objection for Use of Photos and Videos Taken during the Event for the Purpose of Promotion and Publicity".
- HKBWS is exempted from all the liabilities of claims, costs, damages and expenses in respect of any damage, injury or loss to the participants or their properties occasioned by or in any way arising from the activity or any purpose pertaining to or associated with the activity.
- Please bring your own water bottle and adequate drinking water and wear suitable outdoor clothing and shoes.
- By submitting the activity registration, you agree to abide by the HKBWS Code of Conduct for Birdwatching and Photography.
- In case of disputes, HKBWS reserves the rights of final decision.

The Director of Social Welfare has given approval to three organisations to sell flags in Hong Kong Island region, Kowloon region and the New Territories region respectively on 21 August 2024 and HKBWS is authorised to conduct flag sale in New Territories region on that day.
